Theileriosis prevalence status in cattle and buffaloes in India established by systematic review and meta-analysis

The present study on theileriosis prevalence in cattle and buffaloes of India was reckoned by systematic review meta-analysis. studies reported during the period 1984-2019, were collected using online databases, offline literature meta-analyses done R-Software. 20% [95% level, CI 16-25%, PI 2-74%], obtained 70,688 samples. increasing trend observed recent [2011-19] when compared to past years. A higher Central zone [24%] than other zones observed. state-wise analysis revealed a Puducherry Assam. method-wise breakdown serology for [39%] comparison methods. Host species-wise scrutiny indicated [22%] [14%]. Theileriosis caused Theileria (T.) annulata [21%], T. orientalis [16%], species [17%] India. established meta-analysis forms first report from best our knowledge. It also documents valuable resource This helps identifying high-risk states will help policymakers various stakeholders decision making wisely scarce resources available implementing preventive strategies effectively. Further, prevention can be employed adopting effective therapeutic measures vector control strategies, which augment profits dairy farmers
